Pallets

From the terrace we observed a white van pull off the road and onto the overgrown track leading to the chateau. I suppose I could have trained binoculars until it appeared again and noted its number, but I didn’t. I pottered the dog across to the stables this morning and observed the disappearance of a bath, ripped out before renovations ceased, and some more tiles. There are half a dozen wrapped pallets of these and one has been pillaged with about half missing. I have little doubt the baddies will return.
Although I may consult my neighbour on the etiquette of such matters, I can’t get very excited about it. Nothing over there is behind a lock and after nearly a decade of abandonment, it’s a miracle that there’s anything left worth stealing.
